Epiphany Cathedral Choir

Adult Choir

This choir is open to any adults interested in singing at our 11:00am Sunday Solemn Mass. Our choir also provides music for special liturgies and programs such as our annual Festival Lessons and Carols presentation, the Christmas Eve Midnight Mass, Eucharistic Processions, and special Diocesan events. They meet on Wednesday evenings from 7:00-8:30pm in the Parish Center.

Canticulum

This smaller choir specializes in Gregorian Chant and classical polyphony. They sing for our 9:00am Sunday Mass and specials Solemnities throughout the year (Good Friday, Assumption, New Year’s Eve Vespers, etc.). This is an auditioned ensemble that rehearses once per month. We sing works from Palestrina, Mozart, Bruckner, Faure, and others.

Children’s Choir

Our youngest choir members “make a joyful noise” in various settings throughout the year. The most excited experiences so far have been singing Christmas & Easter Masses at the Venice Performing Arts Center and attending the annual Pueri Cantores Festival (4th-8th grade). All of our choir performances include snacks and activities to assist families with their busy schedules. Please contact the music director for more details.

Orchestra

We are fortunate to be able to bring together instrumentalists from all age groups to provide music for our most solemn liturgies of the year. Christmas, Epiphany, Easter, and Christ the King have all featured our orchestra filled with brass, woodwind, and string instruments. Anyone in high school or older is eligible to audition for this ensemble. Our brass players also come together twice a year to provide music for our Eucharistic Processions (Corpus Christi & Christ the King).
