ADULT FAITH FORMATION

Welcome to Adult Faith Formation

The Church’s catechetical mission aims to help the faithful of all ages to grow in both human and Christian maturity, enriching the whole of life.

Our adult faith formation ministry engages the needs and interests of the adults in our faith community. To be faithful and effective it will offer, over time, a comprehensive and systematic presentation and exploration of the core elements of Catholic faith and practice—a complete initiation into a Catholic way of life.

Inquire about the Catholic Faith (OCIA)

The Order of Christian Initiation is a process through which adults and children complete their initiation into the Catholic Church. O.C.I.A. consists of four periods of formation which are marked by rituals. There is no specific length of time for each period. The process is a journey in faith that takes as long as it takes.

  • Who is this O.C.I.A. / O.C.I.C. process for?
  • Adults and children (above Grade 2) who are not baptized.
  • Those who are baptized in another Christian denomination and wish to enter into full communion with the Catholic Church.
  • Baptized Catholics who were never formed in the Catholic faith and have not completed their initiation, i.e., those who have not received the sacrament of Confirmation and the Eucharist.

More information will be on the Sacrament for Children / Adult Pages.

Faith Enrichment Speakers

The Adult Faith Formation Commission is excited to bring wonderful, faith-filled speakers each year. They work closely with Msgr. Patrick Dubois, clergy, and the Director of Religious Education to bring speakers who will inspire and motivate parishioners and guests to deepen their faith and involvement at Epiphany Cathedral. The clergy also provides Faith Enrichments for parishioners and families monthly clergy talks from the Fall – May each year.
