Family Promise – Homeless Children Mission

Epiphany Cathedral is a Support Congregation in the Family Promise of South Sarasota County network (www.familypromisessc.org)  addressing the needs of minor children and their families in temporary need of housing. Our local K of C Council #7052 and other local community host congregations provide overnight shelter and meals while the Family Promise Day Center provides comprehensive services helping the families attain self-sufficiency as quickly as possible.  Volunteers are needed for meal preparation, overnight hosting, bedding set up/take down, guest activity, etc., periodically throughout the year.

GEM (Guadalupe Epiphany Mission)

Through quarterly collections, held in February, May, August and November, of certain food items, clothing for infants to large teen size, and monetary donations, our Epiphany parish family helps to subsidize the needs of the farm workers and rural poor living in the Immokalee area.

GEMINI (Guadalupe Epiphany Mission In Needy Immokalee)

GEMINI are additional stewards who serve and logistically support Guadalupe Social Services by actually going to Immokalee. Our outreach to the poor include serving in the Casa Maria soup kitchen and unloading/repacking the quarterly GEM delivery truck. We serve monthly and more frequently as needed and requested.
